Some of these are amazing. I haven't seen these before. Make you wonder how many more are out there.

Nice find Ahab. Those are great photos. I love looking at the faces. Some of those guys are probably 18-20 years old and they look 30 or older. Those were hard times.

Yeah. I almost like just the everyday life photos. Gives you a sense of what their going through and it ain't fun.

On another note. Since my daughter is going on that DC trip and she's going to Arlington and all the war monuments I need to find something (Movies, Documentaries or something) to make an impact on her so she'll appreciate it. Maybe take here to see Veterans or something.

Schindler's List is already on the agenda since she'll be going to the holocaust museum.

Any ideas?

It's long but HBO's Band of Brothers is the best war movie ( mini series or what ever you want to call it) ever made. It's all based on real events and real people with each episode beginning and ending with the actual people the actors are portraying in the movie. They give you a first hand account in their own words what you watch in the show. If you have not seen Band of Brothers you are missing out on an amazing movie.

Watch to Hell and Back. With Audie Murphy playing himself. He is also buried in Arlington National Cemetery. If anyone doesn't know (they don't teach this in school) Audie Murphy is our countries most decorated soldier.

lmfao i litteraly just finished watching that.

bnad of brothers is the best depiction of what war is like (from what im told) without going. i know its not WWII but black hawk down and we were soldiers are also very good films. lots of language in all these films but i guess thats how it was, not to mention if someone was shooting at you the words you could string together would be quite intresting.
