After reading some of the comments, sounds like the Government with take the find over. The guy deserves at least 50% for his time and honesty.

The Treasure Act

Enigma, is this true?
If so, God save the Queen.

So here's how the "Treasure Act" works: Its simple, ANY treasure found in Britain is automatically the personal property of the Queen. The person who finds it may get a "reward" (usually a pittance and generally a nice important-looking certificate to hang on the wall) but thats it...the Queen (the richest woman on earth) gets it ALL and the finder gets diddly-squat.! No kidding!
